Centered Under Pressure: Movement & Mindfulness for Nervous System Regulation

Presented by Centre for Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion (CHREI)

In this session, you’ll learn effective strategies to help regulate your nervous system during high-stress situations. Starting with an educational overview of how stress impacts the body and mind, you’ll then explore trauma-informed movements, pressure points, and mindfulness techniques designed to bring you back into balance. The embodied practices will help you cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and calm in moments of tension or overwhelm. The session will close with a grounding circle, offering an opportunity to share insights, reflect on the experience, and connect with others. Whether you’re looking to manage stress or deepen your self-regulation skills, you’ll leave with practical tools to help you stay centered when life gets intense.
