Celebrate Earth Day with York U – hosted by the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change

Join us on Thursday, April 21 for a special evening event in honour of Earth Day 2022 and learn how York U’s Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change (EUC) is making positive change for people and the planet.

The event will include:

• A welcome address from EUC’s Dean Alice J. Hovorka, who will share how our newest faculty at York U is mobilizing knowledge for a just and sustainable future.
• A keynote address from one of our prestigious Top 30 under 30 alumni, Elijah (Eli) Bawuah (BA’18, MES’21), who will share how his experiences at York U and in EUC shaped his career journey.
• A student experience panel, moderated by our Experiential Education Coordinator, Aren Sammy, with three of our current students discussing their Changemaker experiences.
• A moment of reflection to bring all attendees together for a united community pledge to right the future in honour of Earth Day 2022.
