Building Back Better: Community Benefits and Social Inclusion

We are in a tremendously powerful moment. At a time when small businesses are under threat, jobs are disappearing and our local economies are being devastated, racial economic justice and environmental sustainability must be a priority in Canada’s recovery and rebuild plan.
With all levels of government committed to investing billions of dollars to build, repair and/or retrofit public infrastructure over the next decade, now is the time to shape strong community benefits policies that prioritizes equity, economic justice, and fairer local economies.
