Books Before Bets
Join us for a one-hour, student-designed workshop that explores how gambling and sports betting show up in campus life. Created in collaboration with the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC), the session uses interactive activities and real examples to help you stay informed and in control.
You’ll learn to:
- Spot early signs of gambling-related harm
- Practice strategies to support yourself and friends
- Discover on-campus and provincial supports
Participants who attend the full session will receive a $5 gift card by email after the workshop. As gift cards are tied to full-session participation, they are not available for those who attend only part of the session. Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-served. If the session is full and you’d like to be added to the waitlist, please email hstacey@yorku.ca. We’ll reach out if a spot becomes available. If you’re registered but can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another student.
