Book launch: ‘Promised Lands North and South: Jewish Canada and Jewish Argentina in Conversation’

Join David M.K. Sheinin (Trent University) and David S. Koffman (York University), co-editors of and contributors to Promised Lands North and South: Jewish Canada and Jewish Argentina in Conversation (Brill Press, 2024), in conversation with Jeffrey Lesser (Emory), a professor of Latin American history. Promised Lands North and South puts two of the most significant Jewish diaspora communities outside of the U.S. into dialogue with one another. Some chapters of the book directly compare unique aspects of two Jewish histories, politics or cultures. Other chapters juxtapose. Join us to help launch this unique and original volume about literature, poetry, theatre and sport, immigration, antisemitism and health.
