Book launch: ‘Herman Daly’s Economics for a Full World’ by Peter Victor

This event launches a very anticipated book by Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change Professor Emeritus Peter Victor on “Herman Daly’s Economics for a Full World: His Life and Ideas,” the first biography of Herman Daly that imparts important considerations on his extraordinary life and contributions to the field of ecological economics. The book launch will take place virtually on Nov. 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. GMT (2:30 to 4 p.m. EST).

The event is part of the 2021 ESRC Festival of Social Science, hosted by the University of Surrey in partnership with York University. Different experts in the topic of economics and sustainability will participate as speakers, including Herman Daly, Peter Victor, Katherine Trebeck, Ellie Perkins, and Tim Jackson. This book launch will appeal to a global audience given Daly’s exceptional life and career.
