Graduate Opportunities in Environmental, Urban and Geographical Research at York

Where: HNES Room 248 (the EUC Black Community Space)

When: Wednesday, Nov. 29, 12 to 1 p.m.

Learn more about opportunities for graduate study at York’s Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change.

In this panel discussion, Black students from the master’s programs in environmental studies and geography will share their experiences with undergraduate students who are considering applying for graduate studies.

Topics will include: taking graduate coursework; getting funding as part of your program; doing research for a master’s degree; and being part of a graduate community.

EUC’s graduate program assistants will also be on hand to answer questions about applications, admissions, funding and program requirements.

The panel will feature:

  • Felicia Achamah (MA Critical Human Geography);
  • Lord-Emmanuel Archidago (MSc Physical Geography);
  • Desmond Asiedu (MES Environmental Studies); and
  • Elijah Leotaud (MES Planning).

Moderator: Melissa Theodore, senior advisor, DEDI, EUC
