Beginner’s Knitting Class

Did you know that the rhythm of knitting releases serotonin, the chemical that helps regulate anxiety, happiness and mood? So much so, in fact, that it’s comparable to meditating. Knitting also helps in being more mindful by promoting focus on breathing, clearing thoughts and taking time to be in the moment.

Join the Health Education & Promotion team to boost your mental health, connect with like-minded students and learn a new life skill you didn’t know you were missing. In this workshop you will learn to knit a drink coaster. Why a coaster, you may ask? This particular knitting pattern is one of the simplest you can get, so it’s perfect for beginners.
