Author Talk: Myra Bloom on Evasive Manoeuvres at Hot Docs
Join Myra Bloom, associate professor at Glendon College, for a live conversation on her new book Evasive Manoeuvres: Canadian Women’s Confessional Writing. Hosted at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema as part of the Author Talks series, this event will feature Bloom in discussion with cultural critic Rachel Giese.
Together, they will explore feminist writing, the complexities of self-disclosure, and the cultural stakes of confession in an era shaped by social media and “selfie” culture. Bloom’s work examines how women writers navigate the tension between visibility and vulnerability in contemporary literary and digital landscapes.
