Adapting Gertrude Stein for the Stage: A talk by Anna Chatterton
Anna Chatterton is a librettist, playwright and performer. She is a two-time finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama. Her plays have been produced by Tarragon Theatre, Nightwood Theatre, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, the Theatre Centre, and the upcoming the Shaw Festival and Alberta Theatre Projects. She has been nominated for five Dora Mavor Moore Awards, winning Outstanding Production of an Opera.
In this talk, Chatterton will speak to the process of creating the Governor General’s Literary Award-nominated play Gertrude and Alice (co-written with Evalyn Parry and devised with director Karin Randoja).
