Ada Lovelace Day Women in Science Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

Come to the Steacie Science and Engineering Library on Thursday, Oct. 11 and help us celebrate Ada Lovelace Day!
Women in the various STEM fields are generally underrepresented in Wikipedia and one of the long-standing goals of the Ada Lovelace Day movement is to fix that. For our fourth annual event, we’ll be gathering in the Steacie Library basement lab during the Thursday of the fall Reading Week and working on improving some existing Wikipedia articles. Drop in anytime from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Any length of time is fine. We’ll have snacks and some pizza for lunch.
Don’t worry about having any previous Wikipedia editing experience. It’s easy to learn enough of the basics to make improvements to existing articles. We’ll also have a list of potential articles for you to work on.
