Event Overview:

Accelerate Auto is thrilled to announce an activation event in Toronto aimed at promoting the
automotive industry as an exciting career path for senior high school and college/university
students. The aim of this event is to provide a platform for young aspiring individuals
interested in the automotive industry to meet potential employers. Our goal is to facilitate
connections that could lead to co-op placements, internships, and full-time employment
opportunities.

Event Objectives:

Raise awareness about career opportunities in the automotive industry.
Inspire and educate students about the diverse roles available, from technicians and
engineers to software developers and IT professionals.
Showcase the industry’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Provide networking opportunities with industry leaders and professionals.

Target Audience:
100 Black Participants
Senior high school students
College and university students

Key Activities:
Workshops and Panels: Interactive sessions led by industry experts to educate
students about various career paths in the automotive industry.
Networking Opportunities: Students will have the chance to connect with industry
professionals, mentors, and role models.
Vendor Exhibits: Diverse vendors, including OEMs, dealerships, banks, and auto
groups, will showcase their work and engage with students.
Hands-On Activities: Practical workshops where students can learn and experience
different aspects of the automotive industry.
