360 Immersive Storytelling: Capture, Compose, Narrate with Aparna Wilder (IRL Labs)
360 Immersive Storytelling: Capture, Compose, Narratewith Aparna Wilder of IRL Labswill begin with an activity focused on the personal narrative. Students should have access to 3-4 digital images that represent their childhood, family, and home. The second part of the workshop will be a team-based exercise where students will create an immersive story based on a nearby location. Activities will include writing, storyboarding, 360 photo capture, narration, and facilitated critique. Participants should bring their own phones and headphones. The workshop will conclude with a brainstorming session where students can iterate ways to use 360 storytelling techniques in combination with their interactive web documentaries.
