You, Me and Sustainability

An Online Presentation and Q & A with: Charles Hopkins
What does sustainability mean to you and me? In an age of climate change and migration that increasingly forces us to understand planetary boundaries and intercultural diversity the need to understand world events from a variety of perspectives, has become increasingly critical to address some of the most pressing issues of global concern that are facing humanity in the 21st century. How can this understanding become a lifelong asset?
Prof. Charles Hopkins holds the UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education towards Sustainability at York University Canada conducting research on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and coordinating two research networks. Hopkins is a public speaker and consults for institutions worldwide including United Nations agencies, governments, universities and other education stakeholders. He is advisor to the UN University’s Institute of Advanced Studies in Sustainable Development, and Co-Director of the Asia-Pacific Institute on ESD in Beijing China.
