Drawing Essentials is a series of miniature workshops where you will learn the basics of drawing, and work through several lessonsto design and draw your very own still life artwork. All you need is a pen/pencil and paper.
Whya Still Life Drawing? Still lives make you better at drawing. When drawing a still life you’re working with all of the elements of art, and practicing object relativity as well as observational drawing.
Every Monday, we will release a video and exercise on a specific drawing technique that you can practice on your own. On the Friday evening of the same week, there will be a livestream via Zoom to ask questions and share your progress. All relevant links and materials for each lesson will be circulated through the Calumet & Stong Colleges mailing list on the Monday of each date listed on the schedule.
Note:Prior to attending the live-stream session, please ensure you complete all videos and exercises linked below as the live-stream will build upon these drawing skill foundations.
