Volunteer & Community Engagement Fair

The volunteer fair is open to all York University students.
Volunteering is an excellent way to develop your skills, gain experience, and enhance your resume, all while giving back to the community and helping a cause. This fair will showcase more than 20 local organizations looking to connect with and recruit students for various volunteer positions. The volunteer fair will take place Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) in Room 152, Founders College. Join with others to network and speak with numerous representatives from diverse fields that share your passion and interests!
Visit https://founders.laps.yorku.ca/volunteer-community-engagement-fair/ for more details and to read about the organizations attending.
One of the organizations attending is the Canadian Institute for the Blind, Phone it Forward. During the fair, CNIB will be collecting smartphone donations. If you, your friends and/ or family have a phone (iPhone 5, Android equivalent, or higher) at home that you had planned on recycling, please consider donating it to the cause. These phones will be refurbished and given to CNIB Foundation clients who are partially sighted or blind. If you are on site, please take some time to stop by their booth to learn more about the program and how a phone can change the life of someone who is blind. You can read more about it by visiting www.phoneitforward.ca
By attending, you will also have the chance to win prizes including:
-$100 credit posted to your YU Card
-$50 gift card to the YU book store
and more!
The volunteer fair is hosted by Founders College and the School of Social Work
