Sport Hall of Fame 2018 Luncheon and Induction Ceremony

York University Athletics & Recreation and the School of Kinesiology & Health Science will welcome six new inductees to the York University Sport Hall of Fame at the annual luncheon and induction ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 29.
This year’s inductees are basketball playerMark Bellai, track & field athleteCraig Cavanagh, field hockey playerTammy Holt, rugby playerCheryl Phillips, tennis coachEric Bojesenand the1969-70 men’s hockey teamenters the Hall of Fame as its inaugural team inductee.
Created in 1980, the Sport Hall of Fame honours individuals who have significantly contributed to York’s interuniversity sport program as athletes, coaches and administrators; and who have exemplified the spirit and ideals of York University sports in their professional and community life. The selection committee consisted of varsity alumni, current student-athletes and several university administrators.
The Hall of Fame Luncheon and Induction Ceremony will take place at 12pm on Sept. 29, 2018 in The New Conference Room at the New Student Centre at York University.
