Research to Inform Innovations in Mental Health Services for Canadian Youth

Speaker: Dr. Kristin Cleverley RN, PhD, CPMHN(C)
Dr. Kristin Cleverley is the CAMH Chair in Mental Health Nursing Research and assistant professor in the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing U of T. She is also a senior scientist in the McCain Centre for Child, Youth and Family Mental Health at CAMH. Dr. Cleverley’s clinical and research expertise include child and youth epidemiology; understanding transitions from child to adult mental health services; and patient and family engagement in mental health research. She is currently principal investigator of the Longitudinal Youth in Transition Study, a five-year CIHR project exploring how youth and their caregivers experience transitions in the mental health system. As well as co-principal investigator on YouthCan IMPACT, a systems-wide approach to making mental health care more accessible and effective for youth aged 11 to 25 who are experiencing mental health challenges in Ontario.
