York’s PhD program in Critical Disability Studies remains the only one in Canada. Students in CDS explore disability from critical perspectives in relation to social policy, equity, social justice, human rights as well as cultural and social movements in Canada and internationally. The MA program is offered full or part-time to students from a variety of backgrounds. The PhD is offered on a full-time basis only.
