Speaking Volumes: Poetic Reflections on Meleko Mokgosi’s Artwork

Join us at the Art Gallery of York University for an evening of spoken word and page poetry. Local artists Sincerely Shyy, Keosha Love, and SA Smythe present poetic meditations expanding the themes raised by Meleko Mokgosi’s solo exhibition, Imaging Imaginations currently on view at the AGYU. These new compositions are commissioned by AGYU as part of a parallel program of talks, performances and readings in response to Mokgosi’s exhibition.
 
Light refreshments will be served starting at 6 pm with the live poetry readings beginning at 7 pm.
