INVITATION to Nellie Library Third Annual Undergraduate Student Conference and Poetry Slam!

Join us for the Third Annual Nellie Langford Rowell Library Undergraduate Student Conference and Poetry Slam!

The Nellie Langford Rowell Library, housed in the School of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies in Founders College at York University, is excited to invite you to attend our Third Annual Nellie Library Undergraduate Student Conference & Poetry Slam!

Conference participants are comprised of York University’s strong, committed, and creative upper-year undergraduate students, while the Poetry Slam! features inspired, and inspiring works by York University first- to fourth-year undergraduate students. Audience members can anticipate an array of interesting and unique projects in the form of written papers, poetic presentations, storytelling, and visual art, which are engaged with feminist, anti-racist, intersectional, interdisciplinary and/or decolonizing approaches. Each presentation will last for 10 minutes, followed by a brief question-and-answer period.

We invite family members, friends, and peers of the presenters, as well as the wider York University community, to join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of our undergraduate students. If you are interested in attending any part of this event, please register.

Feel free to attend as much of the event as you are able!
