York University Game Jam

ABOUT
A game jam is typically a weekend-long event in which participants try to make a game from scratch. The goal of a jam is to come together and make a videogame, or a traditional game like a board game or card game.

A jam asks participants to create a game from beginning to end in a prescribed time. The brief time span is meant to help encourage creative thinking which results in small but innovative and experimental games.

The theme of the York University Game Jam will focus on creating games that echo and creatively address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The United Nations SDGs is a framework that calls on member countries to take urgent action in seventeen critical areas to ensure peace and prosperity for people and the planet.
