Newcomer Resilience and COVID-19: Settlement Policies and Programs
The pandemic has had devastating impacts that are likely to have long-term social and economic consequences. In Canada, often seen as an attractive and welcoming destination for immigrants, refugees, and temporary visa holders, the pandemic has revealed unexpected strengths and concerning fault lines in Canada’s immigration system. Drawing on recent research, speakers will investigate challenges and opportunities for immigration and integration policies and programs emerging from the pandemic.
