Abstract
In response to the growing academic, political and global interest in the role of sponsors in refugee resettlement, Shauna Labman, along with Geoffrey Cameron, edited the newly released manuscript Strangers to Neighbours: Refugee Sponsorship in Context (MQUP 2020) the first dedicated study of refugee sponsorship policy. In this presentation, Labman will connect her earlier work on refugee resettlement to her concluding chapter in Strangers to Neighbours where she explores the intersecting axes of concern and points of tension in the private sponsorship program.
