Launched in 2018, the joint graduate program in digital media is a unique partnership between the Department of Computational Arts and the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS). Our students have access to the courses, faculty and scholarly resources of both departments.
Our interdisciplinary program treats computation and code as an expressive medium open to creative and experimental applications bridging art and science. Students in the program work across a range of current and emerging digital media from experimental games and interactive installations to digital fabrication, data visualization, live coding, performance and sound.
We invite students to join us for an admissions information session:
Virtual PhD Information Session
Date: Dec. 3
