Join us for this Sparkshop with Marlene Bernholtz, associate professor in the Writing Department. This session will highlight how reciprocal, considerate writing processes and clear supervisory communication, help students and supervisors meet academic and developmental goals.

  • review and receive a copy of the Writing Centre Guide for Graduate Student Support
  • identify key moments where supervision practices shape writing progress
  • discuss strategies for establishing reciprocal writing processes, including shared expectations, timelines, and feedback
  • share practical tips supervisors can use for themselves and with students to support drafting, revision and momentum
