Reflections on Anti-Blackness in Canada and the US

Join us for a thought-provoking partnership event between Glendon’s GPIA (Glendon School of Public and International Affairs) and Kennesaw State University. This event brings together scholars, activists, and thought leaders to engage in a critical dialogue on the ongoing issue of anti-Blackness in both Canada and the United States.

Through a series of insightful discussions, we will reflect on the historical roots, current manifestations, and intersectional impacts of anti-Black racism in these two countries. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how activism and academia intersect to challenge and dismantle systems of oppression, while exploring strategies for creating meaningful change in our communities.

This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with experts and peers from both sides of the border, share experiences, and contribute to the ongoing conversation on racial justice and equity.

Date: February 6 | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Senate Chamber, Glendon Campus (for in person attendees) – Zoom webinar for online attendees.
Hosted by: Glendon’s GPIA and Kennesaw State University.
