Period Poverty and Advocacy

Did you know 1 out of 6 peoples in Canada cannot afford to buy period products?
Connect with us virtually on March 3rd to explore the growing need for menstrual education and destigmatization in the GTA. Explore the underlying causes of menstrual poverty and learn how to normalize conversations around menstruation, by breaking down stigmas around periods. Remember, periods are “basic human biology” (Government of Canada, 2025).

This event is facilitated by The Period Purse, a non- for profit organization that aims to alleviate period poverty and advocate for menstrual equity in the GTA.
