Mentor Circles X BE YU | Financial Planning & Budgeting for Student Success
Want to succeed in your personal finances as a student? Join us for in-person and informal mentoring session at the Alumni & Career Lounge, York Lanes (opposite the Bookstore). This workshop session will provide students with valuable insights into managing debit and credit cards and accounts as well as learn how to build your credit, plan your finances and budgeting.

Alumni Mentor:

Tinotenda Mutsvangwa (BA ’20, MSTM’21), Financial Advisor at CIBC. Tinotenda is a devoted CIBC Imperial Service Financial Advisor, holding both the (CSC) and (CPH) certifications. With a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s in Business Management from Schulich School of Business, Tino combines academic excellence with practical expertise to deliver exceptional financial solutions. Tino received many awards in recent years and was selected as one of York University’s Top 30 Under 30 Alumni for 2025.
This session is a collaboration between the Mentor Circles program and the Black Excellence at York University (BE YU) program.
