Mentor Circles | What to do with my Kinesiology and Health Sciences Degree?
Join us for in-person and informal mentoring session at the Alumni & Career Lounge, York Lanes (opposite the Bookstore). This session will help you discover career pathways with your kinesiology and health sciences degree, research and much more with insights from experienced York U alumni!

Alumni Mentors:

Omidreza Sadrmanesh (MSc ’25), Research Assistant, School of Occupational and Public Health, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Omidreza has completed his MSc at York University in Kinesiology and Health Science, where his research focused on nutritional epidemiology. He is currently working at TMU on injury prevention and road safety projects, focusing on effective interventions to make Canadian streets safer for everyone. In a recent project, he helped examine the role of biking infrastructure, such as cycle tracks, in influencing cycling rates. Using health and transportation data, he contributes to data cleaning, analysis and manuscript preparation. Omidreza is planning to pursue a PhD at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health in Fall 2026.

Parastou Moghimi (BSc ’23), Registered Kinesiologist at TELUS. Parastou is a registered kinesiologist at TELUS, Health Care Centre and Get Right Physio, as well as a movement coach. With a background as a yoga and Pilates teacher, dancer, dance teacher and fitness trainer, she has spent over five years exploring how movement supports both body and mind. Her experience includes specializing in post-stroke rehabilitation, where she witnessed the power of movement in recovery. More recently, her work in occupational health has broadened her perspective on the wide impact of kinesiology. She is passionate about sharing the influence of this field and encouraging ongoing learning and growth.
