Meet Tamarri Lindo (Black Stories & Black Voices Speaker Series)

The Black Stories & Black Voices Speaker Series are in-person events offering opportunities for all members of the York community to come together to spend time meeting and learning from one another.

Presented by Diversity in Action student group (from within Athletics & Recreation), this event celebrates Black excellence by featuring a line-up of speakers from the Black community at York who want to share their stories.

Meet Tamarri Lindo: A hardworking member of York’s varsity track and field team who has helped shaped York U spirit through his motivation to succeed. Tamarri is of Jamaican descent, a second-year student in health studies and community leader who spends his time coaching youth at the Flying Angels track and field club and the local non-profit Kick Back Foundation. Though Tamarri came from humble beginnings, he does not shy away from his journey towards excellence.

Meet Tamarri Lindo and others at our second of two speaker series this month.
