LA&PS Graduate Experience Presents: What to Do in the First Tutorial: Tips and Practical Advice for New and Returning TAs

This pan-disciplinary webinar for LA&PS graduate students will go over what to expect and what to do during the first tutorial of the year; it is geared towards both first-time and returning TAs to offer tips and practical advice for the classroom.

The webinar will focus on common challenges, such as discussion facilitation, classroom management, academic honesty, and it will feature presentations by Natasha May, Teaching Development Associate, Teaching Commons, and Angela Clark, Associate Director, Program Development and Academic Integrity. The second half of the webinar will include a Q&A session with current graduate students who will share some of their experiences teaching the first tutorial.
