Inclusion Week: Rising Beyond Gravity: Women in Aerospace
Rising Beyond Gravity: Women in Aerospace is a student-led panel and networking event celebrating women’s resilience and achievements in engineering and the space sector. The event brings together students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals for inspiring dialogue, mentorship, and connection, highlighting how community support helps women and underrepresented groups overcome barriers and thrive in STEM.
As part of the program, the Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (CHREI) will lead a brief, empowering segment on recognizing microaggressions and unconscious bias within STEM environments. Grounded in practical tools and shared language, this session highlights how cultivating awareness, accountability, and inclusive leadership strengthens the communities that help women and underrepresented groups thrive in aerospace. Focused on growth and solutions, the segment invites attendees to envision and participate in building STEM spaces where everyone can contribute, innovate, and rise.
