Happy Year of the Horse – Display at Ross S580

Early happy Chinese New Year — welcome the Year of the Horse!

The Chinese program warmly invites the entire York University community to visit our Chinese New Year display celebrating the Year of the Horse, presented as part of the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics’ World Cultures Celebrations Initiative. This initiative highlights and honours the rich cultural traditions represented within our global community.

📅 Chinese New Year: Feb. 17
📍 Location: Ross Building, Room S580
🗓 Display period: Feb. 10 to 20

In Chinese culture, the horse symbolizes energy, speed, productivity and success. May the Year of the Horse bring vitality, achievement and good fortune to all members of the York community.

Please stop by the display, take photos and check in to celebrate the New Year with us. Bring your friends and classmates – everyone is welcome.

This display was organized by Professor Gang Pan and collaboratively created by students from CH1000A, CH1000B and CH2000. Special thanks to our students for their creativity and wonderful work.

With best wishes for a joyful and prosperous Year of the Horse.
