Grant Writing Workshop Series for Postdoctoral Researchers (online)
York University’s postdoctoral researchers are invited to join a two-part funding workshop series designed to empower postdocs to secure research funding, both now and in the future.
Join Jane Ramachandran of Resonant Solutions, a seasoned expert with nearly three decades of grant-writing experience, for specialized sessions on finding and applying for grant funding.
Session Two: Grant Application Budget Development
Wednesday, October 29, 2024 at 1:00 – 3:00 PM ET
In this interactive two-hour workshop, we’ll tackle the often tricky but crucial task of developing a successful budget for funding applications.
You’ll learn how to construct a well-balanced budget, explore key budget categories, understand the difference between cash and in-kind contributions, and gain confidence in finalizing your project’s financial plan. We’ll also cover rules of thumb and how to write a clear and compelling budget justification.
Come prepared with a research idea or draft application to work on, or use the workshop sample to sharpen your skills before writing your own project budget.
Recommended Prerequisite: Grants 101
