From Country to Community – How Ecological Footprint and Biocapacity Data is being applied across Canada
York University is home to the International Ecological Footprint Learning Lab (IEFLL) that produces the National Ecological Footprint and Biocapacity Accounts – an economic and environmental data series for every country from 1961 to 2024. In addition to producing the national data, our team of researchers applies the national level data to other scales, such as the municipal and provincial level.
At this event, a panel of four IEFL presenters (Eric Miller, Peri Dworatzek, Kiona Lo, and Andrew Reeves) will share examples of Ecological Footprint and Biocapacity data, research, and policy application specific to the Canadian and Ontario contexts.
