Crown-corporate Tactics and Strategies of Dispossession

This workshop illuminates how state and corporate power intersect through community experiences of dispossession. Focusing on the case of Eldorado’s uranium refinery expansion in West Beach, we examine how reterritorialization supports nation-building, capitalism, and geopolitical interests. Though a small piece of land, this process reshapes social and political space, highlighting the ongoing impacts of industrial and territorial reordering.
