Climate Change Theatre Action

York University presents a collage of 10 Canadian plays from this year’s collection, that focus on the generational struggles faced when trying to save the Earth. Fourteen performers will be directed by their course instructor, professor Jamie Robinson, in this 60 minute ensemble Devised theatre piece. Four student Assistant Directors will ultimately take the lead on these plays to see their concepts about animal protections, climate science deniers, pollution solutions, and other themes, come to life for four live performances at York’s 59-seat studio venue Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2025. Design students will also create curated set and costume designs for several of these plays that an audience can explore before and after the show. In The Face Of This promises to be funny, heartbreaking and profound, while collaborating with York’s Nest Initiative  to embolden and promote their climate change initiatives.
