8th Annual Socio-Legal Studies Graduate Student Symposium
This year’s theme, “The Reach of Law: Uses, Limits, and Possibilities,” brings together graduate student researchers from across institutions to explore critical questions around law, justice, and society.
We are also delighted to welcome our keynote speaker, Dr. Marsha Rampersaud, who will present: “Punishment for Punishment’s Sake?: The Purpose and Impact of Criminal Law.”
The day will feature a series of engaging panels on topics including Indigeneity and law, gender and violence, policing, racism, surveillance, and global human rights, along with opportunities to connect with colleagues and students across the field.
