DESCRIPTION:This session will be offered in person at York University’s Markham Campus and is open to students from all York University campuses.\nHave you ever googled yourself? Or maybe an old friend from high school? Once something is shared online, it becomes easily findable with just one search.\nIn this week’s session of YU & Balance, participants will:\n\nGet a better grasp on what digital footprint is\nHow to find reliable sources of information\nUnderstand algorithms, social media feeds and strategize on how to mindfully engage AI\n\nThis session is part of a 6-week Recovery College series. For each session attended, participants will receive $5 on their YU-card. To receive the gift card, you must attend the full session (approximately 45–60 minutes). Unfortunately, we’re not able to provide gift cards for partial attendance. Gift cards will be emailed after the session to the same email address used to register and join the session.\nSpace is limited, and registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If the session is full and you’d like to be added to the waitlist, please email hstacey@yorku.ca ( mailto:hstacey@yorku.ca ). We’ll reach out if a spot becomes available.
