SUMMARY:STS After Critique: Transforming Sociotechnical Injustices (Conference)
DESCRIPTION:The YorkU STS Graduate Student Association presents a hybrid in-person/online conference on STS AFTER CRITIQUE: transforming sociotechnical injustices. The theme for this year’s conference is about the steps we take after acknowledging and critiquing the ways in which science and technology are situated, and thus, can be otherwise. This conference will engage with works and thinkers that disrupt stigmatizing, segregating, patriarchal, racialized, ableist, and colonial ways of practicing science and technology.\nDr. Yousif Hassan will deliver the keynote speech, and York STS professors Dr. Sava Saheli Singh, Dr. Robert W. Gehl, and Dr. Antulio Rosales will participate in the faculty panel.\nPlease note that a link to the zoom for online attendance will be provided to those who have registered for the conference closer to April 02.\nFor the full program and regisration link, please visit: eventbrite.ca/ ( https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/york-university-science-technology-studies-graduate-conference-2026-tickets-1984828646913 )\n\n
