SUMMARY:The Essay is Dead… Now What? Alternative Assessment Studio – Reimagining assessment in the AI era: a pop-up studio series
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a fully online pop-up studio where we’ll explore the post–AI classroom through new forms of assessment, class exercises, critical thinking inspiration and worldbuilding. Across four concise, high-energy one-hour sessions, participants will collaborate to adapt assessment alternatives that respond meaningfully to generative AI – not simply police it.\n\nGuided by experts in both assessment and AI, you’ll experiment with creative formats, contribute to crowd-sourced resources and probe the deeper purposes of grading in a machine-assisted world.
