DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday, March 4 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. for the launch of LA&PS post-doctoral fellow, Lina Pinto-García’s new book, Maraña: War and Disease in the Jungles of Colombia, published by the University of Chicago Press. \nLina Pinto-García earned her MA (2014) and PhD (2020) from York’s science, technology & society (STS) program. Maraña is the final output of her PhD dissertation, offering a compelling exploration of the entangled relationship between war and disease in Colombia.
