DESCRIPTION:Each year, Black History Month is a catalyst for ongoing efforts to enact meaningful change throughout the year, a reminder of the past and present injustices. An opportunity to centre the experiences and invaluable contributions of Black individuals and their communities. \nAs we commemorate Black History Month, the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change, in collaboration with Black Excellence at York University invites you to join us in our upcoming panel event called Navigating Black Stories within the Workforce.  \nDate: Feb. 16 \nTime: 3 to 4:30 p.m. \nLocation: 248 Health, Nursing & Environmental Studies Building \nFeaturing: \n\nMasani Montague, MES ’00, managing director, Masani Productions; \nMuna-Udbi Abdulkadir Ali, assistant professor, EUC; and  \nMiquela (Kayla) Jones, second-year interdisciplinary social science student.\n\nThis special panel will explore the empowering theme of Black Voices and the panellists will share their experiences, insights, and strategies for overcoming challenges and thriving in school/workplace environments. Gain valuable perspectives on fostering inclusivity, confronting biases, and advancing diversity in school and in the workplace.\n Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the Q-and-A portion of the panel discussion. \n
