SUMMARY:Fluid States
DESCRIPTION:In Fluid States, artist Holly Ward deploys a series of creative practices aimed towards developing a deeper understanding of water, and our connection to it. This timely new work was created in response to the ongoing expansion of the TMX pipeline, which intersects numerous waterways and Indigenous territories across British Columbia and Alberta. In a global economy that prioritizes the extraction of limited natural resources, Fluid States reminds us of the universal need to expand and consider our relationship with the environment and the role we each play in shaping our collective future.\nABOUT THE ARTIST\nHolly Ward ( http://www.hollyward.org/ )\nShe/Her\nHolly Ward is an interdisciplinary artist working in sculpture, multi-media installation, architecture, video and drawing. She has exhibited extensively across Canada, and in the US, Germany, Chile, England, Mexico, Norway and South Korea. Her work has been collected by notable institutions across Canada.
